Renewable Fuels Are Success for U.S

On Aug. 7, the Environmental Protection Agency denied Texas’s request for a waiver of the current Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS), which sets volumetric requirements for the blending of renewable fuels into gasoline. This decision has recently generated some critical commentary in your pages (”Texas Is Fed Up With Corn Ethanol,” by Gov. Rick Perry, op-ed, Aug. 12). I, however, support and applaud the EPA’s decision.
